Road Trippin’

IMAG0127Road Trippin’

We got off to a late start after getting all packed, showered, and ready then switching vehicles to start our journey to the burg. We made a stop by where André and I got married. Then our next stop was my favorite restaurant Zupas. Since when we left it wasn’t lunch time, we stopped at the last Zupas on the way to the burg right around one o’clock.

Then we drove around Ogden for awhile……making u-turns, etc., trying to find our way to my second favorite frozen yogurt place – Spoon Me. We had tried to go to another one in SL but it was closed. This is the only one left in the big U-T. Sad day for me. Because its sooooooooooooo delicious. Nothing like it anywhere else.

IMAG0130Eÿnora….she enjoyed this.

We had all the snacks that Eÿnora had never tried in the car ride up.

New Years 006I’m soo glad Keebler decided to make their version of Girl Scout’s “Samoas”. They’re delicious to have all year long.

We just had to stop at the border and take a picture. Not only because it will be the only time Eÿnora will ever be in Idaho, but because I’ve been there millions of times and have never gotten my picture taken with the sign.

We pulled into the burg right after sunset and got all of our bags and packages into the house and in their proper places. Then it was just about time to go to the Albertson Family Party in Roberts – hicktown heaven. I met/remet people I hadn’t seen since I was 14 or 15 who are somehow related to me. We did introductions of the families of the eleven children of my great-grandma/grandpa and then my great-uncle’s got up there and did what they do best – play their guitars and sing.

It’s times like these that I wish I was a fabulous dancer and had a great partner. Someday, you’ll see. We’ll both be great dancers after some lessons. :) We had to leave before the fun was over to get home for missionary curfew but it was pretty fun, and a fabulous Western America experience.
